Make Firefox Do Things Your Way
Firefox is a powerful tool. There is a way to tweak it to do all sorts of things. The basics of this involve using about:config. This lets you change how FireFox does certain things.
- Start Firefox.
- Type about:config into the address bar and press Enter. You will see a warning screen. Click the I’ll be careful, I promise button
- You will see a long list of hidden settings that look strange, meaningless and confusing.

When tweaking Firefox, sometimes you will have to add a new setting and at other times you will have to change an existing setting. Don't be intimidated. It isn't as complicated as it looks. To create a new setting right click on any existing setting and select “New”.
